The Iona Community is committed to prayer and action for justice and peace. The shop reflects this in the literature and crafts sold in it. In addition to the full range of Wild Goose Publications titles we attempt to source our goods as ethically as possible, buying locally as often as possible and also from fair-trade organisations, co-operatives, small producers and traditional family businesses. Some of our producers depend on our shop as their main sales outlet and it is important for them to know that, provided their pricing and standards remain constant, we will continue to purchase from them and will give them priority over large producers who have much larger and wider markets and who have the resources to fund sales representatives and enormous runs of goods.
All proceeds from the shop help support the wider work of the Iona Community.
